Living Costs

Lithuania is considered an inexpensive country to live in. Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) international students have to expect a need of 70-400 EUR per week, including:

  • dormitory VMU/private 25-210 EUR
  • food 35-100 EUR
  • leisure 10-90 EUR

A survey, which was carried out in 2025, shows the weekly expenses of VMU international students:

  • 12% spent less than 75 EUR/month
  • 34% spent 75-125 EUR/month
  • 36% spent 125-175 EUR/month
  • 14% spent 175-250 EUR/month
  • 4% spent more than 250 EUR/month
